(Ex-Im Bank)
Small Businesses Were 100 Percent of New EXIM
Broker’s Customers in 2020
WASHINGTON –Today the Export-Import Bank of
the United States (EXIM) awarded Impello Global Insurance
Services LLC, headquartered in Seattle,
Washington, as EXIM’s 2021 New Broker of the
Year. EXIM presented the award during EXIM’s
2021 Annual Conference being held virtually
September 21-23.
Impello Global is a relatively new specialty
trade-credit and political risk-insurance
brokerage firm. Founded in 2017 by Jeramie
Maxwell, who previously managed Wells Fargo's
structured trade finance and cross-border
lending, the firm provides EXIM’s short- and
medium-term export credit insurance, as well as
assistance with EXIM’s long-term financing,
for the West and Mountain regions of the United
States.
In FY 2020, Impello Global produced the
eighth-highest increase in EXIM authorizations
amount. Moreover, 100 percent of their EXIM
customers were small businesses.
“Every year, EXIM awards our newest insurance
broker for special recognition among the most
accomplished members of our wide and diverse
pool of talented brokers. This year, we are
pleased to recognize Impello Global as EXIM’s
2021 New Broker of the Year,” said EXIM
Broker Account Manager Ursula Wegrzynowicz.
“We appreciate our expanding collaboration
with Impello Global, and we look forward to
much future success with this enterprising and
growing broker in support of America’s small
business exporters and their employees.”
“After nearly 20 years of working with EXIM
in various capacities—first as a young
broker, then as a senior banker, and now as the
head of an advisory boutique and trade credit
and political insurance brokerage—I can say
firsthand how important and valuable EXIM is to
U.S. exporters. I have personally experienced
EXIM supporting thousands of U.S. jobs, and
offering the needed support to transform
businesses from small companies with a primary
focus on the U.S. market to a large growing
business with sales throughout the globe. It
has been an honor to work with EXIM,” said
Impello Global President Jeramie Maxwell.
